Darryl D. "Shorty" Dulgar, 90, of Capron IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in his home. He was born November 16, 1931 in Belvidere, IL the son of Earl and Helen (Kvarme) Dulgar. Darryl married the love of his life, Helen Behnke, on September 9, 1951 in Caledonia, IL. Darryl was the proud owner and operator of his family farm in Capron, IL. Darryl has a passion for carpentry, making all types of furniture for his family. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and had a special gift for giving nicknames. He will be missed by all.

Darryl is loved and missed by his children, Deborah (Cleveland "Red" Garrison) Beers, Kay (Dale) Mathison, Jeri (Ron) Finke, Daniel "Doc" (Jenea) Dulgar; son-in-law, Eugene Johnson; siblings, Deanna (Jack) Johnson, Jerry (Melissa) Dulgar; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents, Earl and Helen; daughter, Jacklyn Giesecke-Johnson; son-in-law, Dan Giesecke; grandchildren, Mark and Monica Giesecke; sister, Betty (Elmyr) Morelock and grandson-in-law, Wayne Carnehl.

Darryl's memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008.
