Obituary

Darren Lino, 37, of Belvidere, IL and formerly of Streamwood, IL passed away suddenly, Thursday, March 19, 2020, in his home. Darren was born June 11, 1982, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin, IL the son of Daryl and Mary (Dobson) Lino. Darren was raised in Streamwood by his mother and step-father, Craig Jensen. He graduated from Streamwood High School in 2000, where he played baseball. It was during high school that he met and fell in love with his future wife, Kera Fiedler. After high school graduation, Darren attended Carpentersville Fire Academy and then earned his Associates Degree in Fire Science from Elgin Community College. Darren then went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Fire Science from Southern Illinois University. He married his high school sweetheart, Kera Fiedler on May 11, 2007, at Church of the Holy Spirit in Schaumburg, IL. Darren's mother and step-father, Craig were excellent role models instilling a work ethic that allowed Darren to be elevated through the ranks at Darien-Woodridge Fire Department becoming Deputy Chief at age 35. Darren was Baptized at St. John the Evangelist, where he and Kera raised their children. He enjoyed attending concerts, sporting events, playing darts, fishing and grilling out. Darren would have categorized the three loves in his life as the love for his family, the love for his brothers and sisters in fire service, and love for his friends. Darren will be remembered for the strong and compassionate man he was and the love and devotion he gave to his kids.

Darren is loved and will be missed by his wife, Kera; daughter, Gianna and son Anthony; mother and dad, Mary and Craig Jensen; and brothers, Matthew (Danielle) Jensen, Matthew Lino and Brett (Hannah) Jensen. Darren is preceded in death by his father, Daryl Lino; grandparents, Ron and Marilyn Lino and Edward and Barbara Dobson; uncle, Kenneth Lino; and father in-law, Rich Fiedler
