Darlene F. Bull, 85, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at her home.  She was born on March 26, 1937, in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Christian & Edna Freese.  Darlene had married George Bull on March 28, 1959 in Ackley, Iowa.  Darlene was employed in the Rockford school system as a 5 ^th grade teacher prior to her retirement. Prior to being a teacher, Darlene was a flight attendant with Northwest Orient.

Darlene had attended church at the Second Congregational UCC/First Presbyterian Church in Rockford.  She had also participated in activities with the University Club, the YMCA and the Rockford Women's Club.

Darlene is survived by her husband George Bull, their children Shon (Jennifer) Bull of Shrewsbury, MA and Kristen (Raymond) Wetzel of Clermont, FL; Grandchildren include Parker Bull, Jared Bull, Julia (Ivan) Ortiz and Kayla Wetzel.  Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a brother.

Visitation Services for Darlene will be held at the Second Congregational UCC/First Presbyterian Church, 318 N. Church Street, Rockford, IL 61101 on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 9:30 am until time of service at 11:30 am.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either the Second Congregational UCC/First Presbyterian Church, the Salvation Army or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
