Danny J. Crye, 60, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Born to James and Arlene (Beyer) Crye on February 25, 1958 in Bardstown, Kentucky. Danny was a graduate of Belvidere High School and was self-employed for many years. At one point he was a business owner of a bar in Poplar Grove, sold automobiles and scoured the country for automobile restoration parts. More recently, he would find vintage toys, such as Redline Hot Wheels and Promo Cars, display them in toy shows and resell them. Danny volunteered at the Boone County Fair Association for many years helping with ticket sales and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Danny is loved and will be missed by his aunts, Iris Storlie, Arlene Simons, and Shirley (Haseltine) Ried, cousins and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Arlene.
