Danny Lee Arnett, 61, of Belvidere, died at 2:37 A.M. Thursday, September 25, 2008, in the VA Hospital in Madison, WI, following a brief illness. Danny was born December 15, 1946, in Belvidere, the son of George and Beryl "Peg" Smith Arnett and was a lifelong Boone County resident. A 1964 graduate of North Boone High School, he was a 1966-68 U.S. Army veteran, serving in Viet Nam. Reared in the Methodist faith, Danny was formerly employed as plant manager at Richco Plastics in Harvard.Survivors include his mother, Peg Arnett of Poplar Grove; his former wife Kathleen Arnett of Belvidere; daughter Kara Ferguson of Garden Prairie; sons Robert (Karen) Arnett of Poplar Grove and Jayson (Sharro) Arnett of Rockford; brother Robert (Gayle) Arnett of Belvidere; sisters Georgia (Don) DeRocher of Rockford and Connie (Jim) Johnson of Poplar Grove; grandchildren Ashley McGuire, Bo Ferguson, Shayna Ferguson, Brooke Arnett, Katelyn Arnett, and Alexandra Petry; and several nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his father George (1977) and brother Dale E. Arnett.

Remembrances may be given to the family for a memorial to be determined later.
