Daniel Trieloff of Rock Falls, formerly of Poplar Grove and Belvidere died peacefully in his home on September 8,2016. He was born in Utica, Wisconsin on August 3, 1928 to Emil and Gea (Rindahl) Trieloff. Daniel graduated from Cambridge High School and married his high school sweetheart Geraldine Nottestad in 1948. After working for Coca-Cola in Madison for several years, he moved to Belvidere where he worked for Midwest Pak and retired from Abbott Plastics. Daniel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere, Boone County Gardeners of America, Poplar Grove Lions Club and Emanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Falls. Dan loved all animals especially his furry babies Fanny, Peter and Maggie.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Gerry, Son Todd (Vicki) Trieloff of Poplar Grove, IL; daughter Jaclyn (Butch) Falkenstein of Rock Falls, IL; Grandchildren Michael (Kristin) Trieloff of Park Ridge, IL, Matthew (Susie) Trieloff of Rockford, IL, Dr. Erin (Brad) Graves of Sterling, IL, Nathan (Leah) Falkenstein of El Segundo, CA; great-grandchildren, Sofie, Ella, and Kaitlyn Trieloff, Jack and Sydney Graves. He is also survived by one brother, Gerald Trieloff of Stoughton, WI as well as many nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Jim, Arlyn, Dick, Howard and beloved little buddy Maggie

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008 with Pastor Sam Hyland officiating.
