Dale A. Nord, 87, of Rockford, IL passed away Wednesday , April 11, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1930 in Earlville, IL the son of Oscar and Dorothy (Furbush) Nord. In 1933 he moved to the family farm near Garden Prairie, Illinois where he lived until age 80.  He married the love of his life Audrey M. Keast on August 29, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL. He was a graduate of Belvidere High School and proudly served his county with the United State Army during the Korean Conflict achieving the rank of Sargent. His various hobbies included stain glass making, painting and sailing.

Dale is loved and will be missed by his children, Diane (Ted) Leisher, Dale (Dee) Nord, Dennis (Lois) Nord, David (Julie) Nord; sister, Margaret "Marty" Mann, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and son Douglas Nord. The family wishes to extend thanks to all the caregivers who took such loving care of Dale.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday May 21, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Monty Fox officiating. A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial in Shattuck's Grove Cemetery.
