Dale Morgan, 95, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully, Monday afternoon, February 12, 2018 in Cherry Vale Place of Rockford. Dale was born April 3, 1922 in Plankinton, SD, the son of James C. and Neva (Bridges) Morgan. He graduated from Plankinton High School in 1942. Dale served in the United States Army in WWII from 1943-1946. He married the love of his life, June Crawford on June 5, 1948 in Belvidere, IL. Dale worked in several trades before settling in as a carpenter for 40 years. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and woodworking.

Dale is loved and missed by his wife of 69 years, June; sisters, Harriet Glass and Imogene Bye; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Evan, Dean, Jr., and Earl; and sisters, Wilma, Thelma, and Amber.

A graveside service will be held at 11:45 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice. To light a candle or share a condolence, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com.
