Dorothy Ann Clausen- DeMay, 86, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully February 18, 2020, in Belvidere. Born December 14, 1933 in Mexico, Missouri, to Eliza and Harry Meyer. She had three brothers, Harold, Don and Bobby. She married in 1956 to Edward Clausen. In 1958, they had a son, Edward Clausen , Jr. and in 1961 a daughter, Sharon (McIntire). They lived in Chicago, Ilinois, then moved to Urbana, Illinois, then settled in Eastlake, Ohio. During her years in Eastlake, she was president of the Eastlake Women's Club as well as a cub scout and girl scout leader.

In 1982 her and Mr. Clausen divorced. In that same year she started attending Lakeland College where she received an Associate Degree in Business, then she went on to Lake Erie College and got a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She worked at Concorde Castings in human resources and sales. She was a member of Swan Valley United Methodist Church for many years.

Ann loved to square dance, she was a member of the Broken Wheels and Buckeye Club. She was also very active in the Red Hats Society. Some of her hobbies were taking pictures and playing cards with friends. She loved her family and church.

She married Dominic DeMay in 2009, by Pastor Robert G. Richards in Saginaw, Michigan. They had a wonderful life together, travelling and going to Florida for the winters.

She is loved and dearly missed by her husband, Dominic DeMay; daughter, Sharon (Mike) McIntire; son, Ed (Lisa) Clausen, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael (Susie) McIntire, Heather ( Tim) Gallagher, Kelsy and Angelle McIntire; and two great- grandchildren, Maci and Michael McIntire.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Harold, Don and Bobby.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 22, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. A Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, February 22, at the funeral home. Pastor Daniel Lashley will officiate. To light a candle or share a condolence please visitwww.AndersonFCS.com
