Curt Arden Crawford, 75, of Belvidere, passed away on April 1, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1949, to Mary Adelaide (Schauer) and Alexander Jacob Crawford. Curt was a lifelong resident of Belvidere, where he graduated from Belvidere High School in 1968. He had a deep appreciation for his community, often frequenting the IDA Library, Uncle Johns Restaurant, and enjoying the local parks.

Curt proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a devoted caregiver to his mother, Mary, offering steadfast support so she could remain in her home as her health declined.

An avid music lover, Curt had an extensive record collection filled with his favorite artists. He was also a passionate reader, particularly enjoying science fiction and westerns.

Curt is survived by his brother, Alan (Carol) Crawford; nieces and nephews, Angela Beckman, Aimee (Michael) Kirkley; great-nieces and nephews, Brent Beckman, Brooke (Colton) Jeronimus, Abigail (Graham) Jacobson, and Rebecca (Clark Smith) Kirkley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Alexander, and half sister Joan (Harold)  Hammond.

Inurnment will be at Highland Gardens of Memories. A private celebration is planned for the family.
