Craig Gardner, 59, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully on June 16, 2018 in Dubuque, Iowa.  Craig was born on November 7, 1958 in Austin, Minnesota to Patrick and Deloris Bremseth Gardner. He married the love of his life, Sue Gardner, August 26, 1978 in Capron, Illinois.

Craig graduated from North Boone High School in 1977 and worked as a set up operator in a screw manufacturing company for thirty-five years. He enjoyed fishing, music, movies, woodworking and reading. Craig was a baseball fan who loved the Cubs and the White Sox and coached his son, Matt's youth baseball team. Most importantly, Craig loved being a grandfather.

Craig is loved and will be missed by his wife, Sue; son, Matt and daughter-in-law, Sammi Gardner; sister, Wanda and brother-in-law, Chuck Marzahl and sister, Merry and brother-in-law, Ed Crowder; Granddaughter, Skyler Rose Gardner; mother-in-law, Doris Johnson and brother-in-law, Ken Johnson; Niece and nephew Becky and Cameron Staggs.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, Illinois. Memorials to the family to be determined and established at a later date.
