Belvidere, IllinoisCora B. Gozy, 82, of Belvidere, IL died Tuesday morning, December 4, 2007 in Northwood's Care Center after a lingering illness. Cora was born October 23, 1925 in Gilman, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Hazel (McCartney) Taylor. She married Walter Gozy in Chicago, IL on February 17, 1945. Over the years, Cora worked as a nurse's aide for several nursing homes in the Rockford and Belvidere area. Survivors include her children, Patricia (Jim) Thomas of Highland, IN, Steven Gozy of Belvidere, Mary (Charlie) Gorham of Belvidere, Loren (Kathleen) Gozy of Holly Hill, FL, Debbie (Rich) Bohlin of Loves Park, IL, Sue (Roy) Stone of Machesney Park, IL. Cora has twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Cora is predeceased by her parents, husband, Walter in 1996 and daughter, Joan F. Gozy in 1957.
