Colleen "Lynn" Karczewski-Pyne, 54 of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Sunday, March 2, 2014 in her home unexpectedly. Lynn was born February 2, 1960 in Millville, New Jersey. Lynn was an amazing wife, making sure her husband knew he was loved and cared for; she was happy. Lynn had everything she dreamed of; her two daughters, a great man that loved her for her, the house she always wanted, a job she loved at the Keen-Age Center and her gardens. She accomplished her dream of finishing school in December 2012. Lynn never pretended to be someone she wasn't; she loved children, gardening, working on her house, helping others, family, a good book, her pets, making others laugh and a nice cold Miller Lite.
Lynn is loved and will be missed by her husband, Todd Endress of Belvidere; daughters, Kristin Karczewski and Cassandra Pyne, both of Belvidere; parents, Karen and Dan Lauretta of Belvidere; sisters, Ilene (John) Pyne-Hunter of Millville, N.J., Kathy Leek and Karen (Greg) Hardesty both of New Port Richie, FL; brother, Howard (Sheri) Leek of Belvidere; nieces and nephews, Brittni, Juston, Brandon, Chelsea, Jessica, Matthew, Lexus; grandmother, Viola "Mommom" McGonigal of Millville, N.J.; uncle, Sonny (Cathy) McGregor of Millville, NJ; chosen family, Barb and John Moore of Gibstown, N.J.. Lynn is preceded in death by her grandfather, Vernon "Poppop" McGonigal.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services: Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. with Rev. Dan Schenk officiating. Burial will be in Orth Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Lynn was adamant that she wanted memorials to be directed to the Boone County Council or Aging-Keen Age Center or  Boone County Animal Services in her memory.
