Clifford H. Kjos, 89, of Belvidere, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Swedish American Hospital surrounded by his family. Born January 31, 1922 in La Crosse, WI, son of Christian and Hilda (Munson) Kjos. Married Helen E. Footh on September 29, 1951 in Belvidere, she died December 26, 2008. Faithfully served in the US Army. Worked as a machinist for Barber Colman. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post 77 and the VFW Post 1761. He loved to play pinochle, horseshoes and was a 3 time horseshoe champion and avid Cub's fan. He was a very devoted father and grandfather. Survivors include his daughters Linda (Terry) Osterberg-Baier and Karen (Mike) Shook both of Belvidere, grandchildren Scott Fowler, Jason and Justin White, Jeramy (Jessica) Sorrenson, Tiffany (David) Jacobson, and Stephanie Gunn, great-grandchildren Beaux Fowler, Lctl Rusty Fowler, Dillon and Dustin Fowler, Megan, Brett, Lindsey, Brittany and Parker White, Kailey and Madelyn Jacobson, Bishopp and Addison Gunn, sisters-in-law Katherine Bodey of Belvidere, Alma Humphrey of Fresno, CA, and Lola Footh of Brown Deer, WI, nieces and nephews Brenda Falk, Rita Griffeth, Rusty Bodey and several others. Predeceased by his parents, wife, brothers Tim, Alfred, Maynard Kjos and sister Mildred Hyland-Warren.
