Clara M. Wienk, 87, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Maple Crest Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 8, 1930 in Almont, MI, the daughter of Orlin and Edna (Ferrier) Church. Clara dedicated her life as a CNA, retiring from Northwoods Care Center. She was a devoted member of Open Bible Church in Belvidere. Clara enjoyed growing gardens, canning vegetables, and made the most wonderful homemade bread. She loved studying, and doing bible studies. Clara had a passion for music and singing. She liked doing word searches and puzzles.

Clara is loved and missed by her children, Lu (Troy) Franseen Burgess, Dennis Wienk, Ken Wienk, Bruce Wienk, Jon (Kathy Mercer) Wienk, Becky (Paul) Pearce, Cheryl (George) Greenlee, and Barbara (Gene) Eicksteadt; brothers, Orlin and Kenneth Church; sisters, Mary Livingston, and Vi King; 21 grandchildren, 34, Great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlin and Edna Church, brother, LeRoy Church, husband, Martin Wienk, son, Richard Wienk, daughter, Katherine Von Haden, granddaughters, Christina Wienk, and Jennifer Carlson; and son-in-law, Mike Carlson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Dan Pope officiating.
