CinDee Lois Mrkvicka, 73, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, February 23, 2023, in Chicago, IL.  She was born May 14, 1949, daughter to Walter and Jean (Ewen) Antas in Chicago. She graduated high school and then received her Master's in Community Health. She had many careers including an Office Manager, Museum Director for Boone County Historical Society, Editor for the Daily Republican and a Director of Intake at Alexian Brothers Hospital. She was a Psychotherapist for years at Ecker Center for Mental Health. One of her fondest professional memories was interviewing former President and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama. She loved drawing, art, crafts, reading and photography. CinDee loved to travel, going to concerts and festivals. She was an amazing cook, known for her lasagna. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids and dog, Sadie.

She is loved and will be missed by her partner, Jeff Benson; children, Alexandria (Thomas DeSonia) Mrkvicka-Benson, Katie Mrkvicka, Scott (Tiffany) Mrkvicka, and Melissa (Bryon Benson) Mrkvicka; grandchildren, Hallie, Dakodah, Joshua, Max, Tyler, Charlotte, Ella, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Briar, Maren, Noah, Clark, and Dexter; bonus daughters, Kelsey Wethington and Amber Kates; bonus grandchildren, Mia and Abby; and beloved dog, Sadie.

CinDee is preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Mrkvicka; parents, Walter and Jean; biological parents, Sidney Logan and Nellie Slenk; brother, Eugene (Mauvolyene) Logan; granddaughter, Nicole Mrkvicka; and multiple beloved pets.
