Christopher L. Quist, 35, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Condell Hospital, Libertyville, IL following a sudden illness. Born December 28, 1978 in Belvidere; the son of LaVerne C. and Pamela S. (Aten) Quist. Chris was a carpenter for Heritage Construction in Elgin. On weekends he did side jobs including roofing. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in demolition derbies and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his daughter, Amaya Quist; Mother, Pam Quist; Brother, Jarrid (Valarie) Quist; 4 nieces, Alexis, Gabriella, Angelique and Adriana Quist; 2 nephews, Baby Jarrid and Elijah Quist, all from Belvidere; many aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his father in 2005 and grandparents, Les and Ethel Aten, and Clifford and Arlene Quist.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. followed by a Funeral service 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W.
