Charlotte J. Sanders, 79, of Belvidere, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 in UW Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin following a lingering illness. She was born on December 15, 1930 in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of Lester and Genevieve (Groves) Knutson. Charlotte was employed as a machinist by Arnold Engineering in Marengo, Illinois for thirty six years retiring in 1995. She was raised in the Methodist Faith. Charlotte was a member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed gardening and watching birds in her spare time. Charlotte loved to go to Florida for the winter. She is survived by three children, Rhonda (Hal) Sutton, Rockton, Illinois; John (Gina) Sanders, Belvidere; and Wendy (Ray) Palka, Poplar Grove, Illinois; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Souders, Florida; and Lila (Max) Hatcher, Belvidere; seven nieces and nephews. Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Grace Anderson and nephew, Billy Souders.
