Belvidere, IL

Charlotte A. Libke, 96, of Belvidere, IL passed away early Monday morning, November 10, 2014 in her home after a sudden illness.  Charlotte was born July 19, 1918 in Noonan, North Dakota the daughter of Carl and Mabel (Sprague) Radke.  She married Herbert F. Libke on September 6, 1937 in Indiana.  Charlotte was a former Sunday school teacher at Calvary Baptist Church and attended North Love Baptist Church in Rockford.  Charlotte was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs.

Charlotte is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Trudy Freeman of Belvidere; grandchildren, Teresa Bowers of Rockford, Janet Haas of Wisconsin, Jennifer Haas of Georgia, Mischelle (Dean) Jones of Rockford, Denise (Al) Alfaro of Belvidere; great grandchildren, Michael Alfaro, Derek Jones, Desiree Bowers and Nikolas Bowers.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert; daughter, Nancy Haas; sisters, Vivian Brown and Helen Schmidt; brothers, Gordon and James Radke.
