Charlotte Anna (Teeple) Gray age 93 of Belvidere was called home to the Lord Thursday January 11, 2007 while residing in Northwoods Care Centre. Charlotte was born July 1, 1913, the daughter of Glenn and Carrie (Kvarme) Teeple. Charlotte was born, raised, and educated in Belvidere. After high school, she had various positions, one of which was at the courthouse. She then married the love of her life Howard Early Gray in Dubuque Iowa, October 16, 1937, and started her family of three boys. When Howard had his own business, Gray Trucking and Implement, she kept the company books, and raised the family. After the children were grown, she worked 17 years for the Belvidere School District #100 in the cafeteria. Charlotte was also an over 50 year member of the Eastern Star Adeline Chapter 118, and also a member of Highland Hospital Auxiliary. Charlotte was known for being very industrious. The also had a passion for being a seamstress and a quilter. Charlotte is survived by her 3 loving sons: Kenneth A. (Marsha) Gray-Belvidere, IL, Donald G. (Judith) Gray-Chadwick, IL, and James H. "Jim"(Dianna) Gray-Sioux Falls, SD; 9 cherished grandchildren, and 11 adoring great grandchildren; 2 sisters; Harriette (Ed) McGinn- Kewanee, IL, and Clara Jane Lake- Palm Desert, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, and brother Harold Teeple.
