Charline Gibson, 89 of Belvidere, IL died early Thursday morning, August 9, 2007 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Charline was born October 26, 1917 in Paw Paw, Illinois the daughter of William and Alice (Lynch) Buchanan. She married Walter A. Gibson, Jr. on August 28, 1943 in Joplin, MO. Prior to her retirement, Charline worked for the University Plaza in DeKalb. She was a former member of the Paw Paw American Legion Auxiliary. She liked to play BINGO, enjoyed gardening, was a fantastic cook and loved to take care of her family.Survivors include her sons, Gary (Delores) Gibson of Garden Prairie, IL, Donald Gibson of Belvidere; grandchildren, Richard Gibson and Andrea Gibson; great grandchildren, Cody and Sandra, great-great grandson, Alex Diaz; sister, Helen Florsheutz of Mendota; several nieces and nephews.Predeceased by her parents and husband, Walter; brothers, Billy Buchanan and sisters, Katie Gallagher and Dorothy Hopkins.Charline's family would like to acknowledge Northern Illinois Hospice and the special care ladies for the love and support given to her and the family.
