Charles "Chuck" R. Jacobson, 78, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully July 6, 2021 in Rockford, IL. He was born June 20, 1943, son to Robert C. Jacobson and Mary Jane Dahms. He married his sweetheart, Joyce Vanvuren, January 15, 1966 in Sterling, IL. He was a high school graduate and served in the Navy before being honorably discharged. He worked for the Railroad Industry as a Signal Maintainer. He was a member of the American Legion for many years. Chuck loved all things related to the Railroad, enjoyed being at his camper and traveling, and loved to socialize while riding his golf cart during vacation. Chuck loved his family and grandkids.

He will be loved and missed by his wife, Joyce; sons, Rodney and Charles Jr. Jacobson; brothers, Bill and Kenny Jacobson; grandchildren, Cody and Kayla; Brent, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Ethan; Amanda, Ashley, and J. J. Beaches; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tom Jacobson; and brother, Dick Jacobson.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., Saturday, July 24 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008.
