Obituary

Charles Lavern Mosher, 58, passed away December 26, 2023, in his home in Belvidere, IL. He was born February, 13, 1965, in Rockford, IL, son to Charles E. and Helen (Gilbey) Mosher. Chucky attended Belvidere High School. He was also a proud member of the First United Methodist Church and the Young Producers 4-H Club. Chuck enjoyed playing his guitars and drums and listening to his favorite bands, such as Kiss, AC/DC, and Pat Benatar. Chucky loved spending time in his cabin where local bands, friends, and family would always be ready for a good time. He loved his dog Bella and his cat Star so much. He also enjoyed riding his snowmobile and dirt bike.
After high school, Chucky went to work with Schiffmayer Plastics in Algonquin, IL, as a machine operator for 15 years. He was later employed at Walmart, in Belvidere, in the maintenance department.

Chucky will be loved and missed dearly by his mother, Helen Maxwell; his sister, Janice Hunt; his nieces, Hillary Garcia-Mosher, and Bridget Hunt; as well as his nephew, James Hunt.

Chucky is preceded in death by his father, Charles E.  Mosher; and his step father, Don Maxwell. Chucky was surrounded with lots of love from aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; Phyliss and John Porter, Jane, Kathy, Pat, Red, Mary, Sandy, Dennis, Tammy, Logan, Anthony, Haley, Art, Kay, Roy, Jake and Karen, cousin Helen, nurse Aaron, Pastor Jim, and so many others supporting him. Chucky had a huge heart and shared his love.
A visitation will be at 10 A.M., Friday, January 5, 2024, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Charles' funeral service will follow at 11 A.M., at the funeral home. Burial to take place at Shattuck Grove Cemetery. Rev. Jim Bell to officiate.
