Charles T. Franks, 84 of Belvidere, IL died Monday evening, February 2, 2009 in his home. Charles was born March 30, 1924 in Tuckerman, AR the son of Charlie and Gertrude (Farmer) Franks. Charles served in the US army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation where he worked in the materials department. He enjoyed going to the boat and watching old movies on T.V. and was a member of the American Legion, Belvidere Moose Lodge.Charles will be missed and loved by his loving daughter, Dianna (Jerry) Rodziczak of Lenox, MI; daughters, Judy and Susan; and son, Charles T. (Vera) Franks, Jr. He was the grandfather of eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and brother to Jimmy Franks and Laura Faye Williams. He was a beloved friend of Dorothy Popovich.
