Belvidere, ILChardell E. Raffety, 83, of Belvidere, IL died early Saturday morning, April 25, 2009 in Northwoods Care Center after a lingering illness. Chardell was born February 13, 1926 in Carrollton, IL the daughter of Earl and Lucille (Short) Hubbard. She married George Raffety on May 13, 1947 in Carrollton. Chardell was an assistant for State Farm Insurance before her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Chardell enjoyed gardening and was an excellent seamstress.She is survived by her daughters, Cynda (Dennis) White of Belvidere and Beth Raffety of Bartlett; grandchildren, David (Natalie) White, Brook (Dale) Hasting, Kevin White; great grandchildren, Nolan, Amelia and Nick Hasting.Chardell is predeceased by her parents and husband.
