Obituary

Celia Cesar, 94, of Poplar Grove passed away Friday February 11, 2005 at Swedish American Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1910 in Adams Friendship, WI. To Avalt and Molly (Martin) Houden.Celia was a member of Homemakers of America, The United Methodist Women's Noon Circle, belonged to a special card club, and was a collector of teapots, bells, music boxes, and costume jewelry. She was a strong and independent woman who taught us all how to live and age with grace, dignity and humor. She taught everyone she loved that laughter is the best medicine for life's hardships.She is survived by brothers; Dick (Dorothy) Houden of Madison, Wi, Benjamin (Delores) Houden of Sun City, AZ, sister; Helen Houden of Decorah, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Celia is predeceased by her husband Joe Cesar, both parents, brothers; Ernest Houden, Fred Houden, Lloyd Houden, and sisters; Frieda Stenerson, Theresa Burton, and Nora Medine.The family would like to thank the staff on the 10th floor of Swedish American Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
