Carrie J. Holt-Martin, 46, of Rockford, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Alma-Nelson Debes Subacute following a long illness. She was born on September 29, 1962 in Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of Caswell and Irma Jean (Darfler) Holt, Jr. Carrie married Curtis Martin in Rockford in 2004. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing solitare. Carrie is a graduate of Belvidere High School Class of 1980. She is survived by her husband, Curt, a daughter, Dakota Griffin, a son, Ridge Holt; three brothers, John Holt, Scott (Katherine) Holt all of Rockford and Dan Holt of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
