Belvidere, ILCarol J. Lusz, 63, of Belvidere, IL, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born June 24, 1946 in Belvidere the daughter of Richard and Phyllis (Brown) Luhman.Carol was employed as a machine operator for Automatic Electric and Champion Packaging. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliaries. In her younger days, Carol was a Candy Striper for St. Joseph Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, flower gardening, baking, playing cards and her grandchildren. Carol even found the time to participate in area dart leagues. She is survived by her son, Richard (Kelly) Lusz; two grandchildren, Tyler and Kenzi Lusz; step-father, Paul Cunningham; sister, Sonja (Jim) Olstad and sister in-law Janice Luhman. Carol is predeceased by her parents; son, David and brother, Dick Luhman.
