Belvidere, IllinoisCarol Anne Lenox, 57, of Belvidere, Illinois died Saturday evening, June 16, 2007 in Swedish American Hospital after a courageous battle with leukemia. Carol was born April 17, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Larry H. and Beatrice (Pierce) Blair. She married David E. Lenox on October 27, 1969 in Zion, Illinois. Carol enjoyed camping, biking, hiking and crafts, but her greatest joy was spending time playing with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, David Lenox of Belvidere; daughters, Deanna (Kendall, Jr.) Kelly of Belvidere, Keri Lenox of Rockford, and Jennifer (Dreher) Dysert of Campbellsport, WI; beloved grandchildren, Joshua and Elizabeth Kelly and Paul Keller; sister Kathryn (Archie) Byrd; brothers Donald (Terrie), Robert, Daniel (Sue) and James Blair. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Blair. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the oncology unit at SwedishAmerican hospital and the SwedishAmerican Home Health care staff for their compassionate care. They would also like to extend special thanks to the OSF Hospice staff for their superior care and kindness to both Carol and the family during her illness.
