Carol Jean Freeman, 78, of Belvidere, IL passed away December 16, 2021.  She was born November 28, 1943 in Marengo, IL to Clyde and Florence (Dollman) Castleman.  Carol Loved to gamble, play dice, cards and bingo. She was an amazing cook and liked to garden. Carol was a very caring person. She volunteered at the VFW in Belvidere and often times was both mom and dad caretaker.

Carol is loved and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Nickey (Dale) Paison and Cheryl McWilliams; grandchildren, Heather (Don), Tony (Savannah), Brad, and Tonya (Mike); 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Ray; infant daughter, Julie; and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
