Carol Ann Emanuel, 83, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family, Monday, June 13, 2022. Carol was born September 26, 1938, the daughter of Lester and Alice (Papworth) Dittbenner, of Chicago, IL. She married the love of her life, Elmer G. Emanuel, on December 22, 1954. They went on to have 11 beautiful children together.

Carol was a loving wife and a devoted mother to her children, always putting her family first. Her children recall her often telling them, "we never had a lot of money, but we always had a lot of love." Carol was a full-time mom and enjoyed baking, doing puzzles, painting and so many other crafts in her spare time. She was also a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, in Belvidere for many years.

Carol is loved and will be missed greatly by her daughters, Dora (Larry) Rockwell, Sanda (Steve) Wells, Wanda (Anthony) Caldwell; her sons, Robin (Tracy) Emanuel, Neil (Angie) Emanuel, Greg (Amy) Emanuel, and Earl (Stacey) Emanuel; as well as her 16 grandchildren and her 17 great grandchildren, with one on the way.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Emanuel; her son, Kim; her son, Todd; her daughter, Vera; her daughter, Myra; her grandson, Brian; and her daughter in law, Sunny.

Carol's visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2022, at Anderson's Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL.
