Carol Ann Edstrom, 78, went home to be with her Lord on October 16, 2024 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Home. She was born on March 19, 1946 in Sydney NY, the daughter of Clynita (Nesbit) and Charles Burroughs. Raised by Clynita and Bartley Sheldon  The loving wife of Keith Edstrom for 26 years of marriage.

Carol had a thirst for knowledge and love of the arts. She attended Cedarville College, Baptist College in Binghamton, and Wheaton College where she earned her master's degree. She had a strong work ethic and spent many years working for Temple Steele Magazine as an editor, and sold tupperware and Avon. An accomplished musician, Carol skillfully played the piano, flute, and accordion. Her love for music was not just a personal passion; it was a gift she shared with others.

Known for her cheerful spirit and kind nature, Carol had a unique gift for bringing people together. Her home was a welcoming space where family and friends gathered to celebrate life, laughter, and music. Whether hosting lively parties or intimate gatherings, she made every occasion special with her warmth and hospitality.

She is survived by her siblings, Kathy (Bill) Monser, Sharon (Marcel) Tayamen, Bart (Mary) Sheldon, Kurt (Becky) Sheldon; sister-in-law, Robin Perdue;  brother-in-law, Bruce Edstrom, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever cherish her memory and the joy she brought into their lives.

She is welcomed into heaven by her husband Keith Edstrom; her parents, Clynita and Bartley Sheldon and Charles Burroughs.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 24th at 10am at Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation at 9am until the time of service. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008

With private burial at Ridgewood Memorial Park in DesPlanes, IL.
