Carol Vivian Burwell, 67, of Belvidere, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 in her home. Born September 9, 1945 in Brighton, England, daughter of Willis and Hannah (O'Farrell) Wilcox. Married Sterling Burwell on August 28, 1981 in Belvidere. Carol worked for Chrysler as a materials handler for 7 years. She loved spending time with her husband, Sterling, and her grandchildren were her life. She loved to cook and enjoyed going out to dinner and a movie. She was the best wife, mom, and grandma you could dream of and she will be greatly missed.Survivors include her loving husband Sterling; son Sean (Laura Douthat) Davenport of Roscoe; daughters Siobain (David) Daughenbaugh of Belvidere, Shannon (Ryan King) Davenport of Rockford; grandchildren Shawna and Austin Daughenbaugh, Taelor and Jaden Davenport, Savannah Mitchell; sister Maureen (Dave) Love; and brother Kevin (Leona) Wilcox. Predeceased by her parents.
