Belvidere, IllinoisCarol A. Buhl, 78, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Wednesday evening, December 19, 2012 in Maple Crest Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Carol was born February 26, 1934 in Belvidere the daughter of Henry and Mildred (Shepherd) Boettcher. She married Edward F. Buhl on March 14, 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Over the years, Carol worked as a telephone operator, and for Dean Foods. She also worked for Belvidere High School in the cafeteria for 25 years and was awarded the Golden Apple award for her service. Carol was extremely dedicated and involved with her church at Immanuel Lutheran. She bowled on the church league in her younger years, was a member of the Percolators, Ladies Guild and Mary-Martha Circle. Carol enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, quilting, needle point; and supporting her children and grandchildren in their sporting and school activities.Carol is loved and will be missed by her husband, Edward of Belvidere; children Michael (Vicky) Buhl of Belvidere, Sherry (Bill) Blauert of Rockford, Jane (Mike) Stroud of Belvidere; grandchildren Gregory (Erin) Buhl, Brandon (Brittany) Buhl, Timothy (Jenny) Buhl, Emily (Andrew) Janetzke, Erica Bluege, Megan Stroud, Amanda Stroud; six great-grandchildren; sister Norma (Dick) Schlottman of Woodstock; nieces and nephews. Carol is predeceased by her parents.
