Belvidere, IL Carlos Antonio Castro 55, loving Father, Son, Brother and Grandfather. Of Belvidere, IL died early Sunday morning, August 7, 2011 in OSF St Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness. Carlos was born October 9, 1955 in Fort Morgan, CO the son of Antonio L. and Anselma "Ann" (Hernandez) Castro. Carlos was loyal to the United States Post Office where he worked for over twenty years as a mail handler. Carlos served his country as an outstanding United States Marine. Carlos loved God, Country and Corp. Promoted thru out his service meritoriously to the rank of E-5, Sergeant of Marines. Honors also included Rifle Expert and Good Conduct Medal. He served with the 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA and was Honorably Discharged Semper Fidelis to this day. Carlos was also a John Wayne and Dallas Cowboy fan; enjoyed fishing and ice fishing' cooking and casinos; and most especially spending time with the apple of his eye his daughter and granddaughter, taking care of his mother and loving his family and friends.Carlos is loved and will be missed by his daughter, Aileen Castro of Belvidere; parents Ann Castro of Belvidere and Antonio (Josephina) Castro of Texas; granddaughter Hailee; brothers Conrad (Pat), Fernando Castro; sisters Lydia (Ed) Gonzalez, Linda (George) Sebena, Liza (Marshall) Wolfe; nieces and nephews Ed,Jr., Eric, Leandra, Alexandra, Jonathon, Anthony and Alyssa.Carlos is predeceased by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.
