June 23, 1956 – November 13, 2025
Carl William Stadler Jr. AKA "The Rooster" 69, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on November 13, 2025. He was a deeply devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Known for his contagious laugh, generous spirit, and big heart.
Born on June 23, 1956, to Carl Stadler Sr. and Antonia Vece Stadler, Carl carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. He held many roles over the years, working most recently as a gas station attendant at Fas Fuel. Carl was an avid Chicago Bears fan and a lifelong enthusiast of WWE wrestling. A talented guitar player, he loved sharing his music and listening to classic rock. One of his greatest gifts was his cooking—especially his smoked meats and the beloved "Big Daddy Carl Burgers" that became a cherished family tradition. Carl also enjoyed collecting projects, fixing things, and tinkering with anything mechanical.
Above all, Carl was a proud and loving father and grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his family. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Catrina (Kyle) Brighton and Nicole Heldmann; grandchildren, Prestyn Heldmann and Aurora Brighton; siblings, Carla Mowery, Carlene Stadler, Curt (Sandy) Stadler, Russell Stadler, and Vincent Young. Carl is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members he loved dearly.
