Carl E. Masear, 75, of Poplar Grove, Ill., died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in his daughter's home in Birmingham, Ala. following a short illness. Born February 22, 1932 in Capron, Ill. the son of Claude and Mabel (Arnold) Masear. Carl was a Beef and Grain Farmer for many years. He later owned and operated the Car-Dee Feed for 20 years. He was active with the Boone County 4H . This year he received the "Lifetime Achievement" Award for his participation with the Boone County Fair. Carl is a graduate of Beloit (Wisc.) High School, Class of 1950. He is survived by his four children, Rodney Masear, Rockford, Ill.; Victoria (Walter) Bradley, Birmingham, Ala.; Cal (Sally) Masear, Washington, Ill.; Teresa (Frank Adams) Masear, Los Angeles, Cal.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle (Marian) and Clyde Masear; and two sisters, Lois Greene and Arlene Masear. He was preceded in death by his parents.
