C. Mark Nance

April 4, 1968 - July 13, 2025 (Age 57)

Mark was born on April 4,1968, in Rockford, IL. Son of Clarence and Sallie (Novak) Nance. He spent most of his life in the Belvidere/Rockford area. Mark was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed gardening, fishing, listening to his music, sitting around a fire having a beer, and cooling off in his pool.

Mark met the love of his life, Carol Macomber, in 1997. Together they built a life and were married, October 26, 2007. Mark and Carol had an abundance of fur babies over the years. They also loved all of their nephews and nieces so very much.

More than anything else Mark loved his family. He was a dedicated husband, son, brother, and uncle. Mark had the biggest heart and would help anyone if he was able. Although he was a little wild in his younger years, he turned his life around and became a very hard working, respectable man. He followed in his father's footsteps and became a mechanic and helped many with their vehicles over the years. The last 19 years he was employed by R&D Thiel Inc., where he worked his way up to supervisor. He gained the respect of many of the employees and management due to his excellent work ethic and commitment to his job.

His absence has left a void for all of us that cannot be filled.

He is preceded in death by his father Clarence Nance and older brother Tom Novak.

Those left to honor Mark's memory are his wife, Carol; mother, Sallie Nance; siblings, Sherri (Herb), Lisa (Randy), Duane (Stacie), sister-in-law, Toni Novak, as well as many nephews and nieces.

A visitation for Mark will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4pm-8pm. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10am followed by a funeral service at 11am at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL, 61008. Burial to follow at Belvidere Cemetery.
