Brittany Nicole Geiken-Carter, 28, of Granite, OK, passed away October 23, 2018. Brittany was born November 29, 1989 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Jeff and Gretchen Geiken Sr. She was married to Roy Carter. Brittany was a 2008 graduate of Hononegah High School and received her Bachelors in Science. She proudly served her country with the United State Air Force, serving a tour in Afghanistan. As a civilian she worked for the Altus Airforce Base 97th Medical Group as an IT Specialist. Brittany was known for being outgoing and being a friend to all she met. She was passionate about her family, enjoying talks with her mom and dad, spending time with her brothers, family and friends. Brittany will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is loved and missed by her husband; parents; brothers, Jeffrey S. Geiken Jr., Christopher A. Dorris; grandparents, Gloria Marcum, Cecil and Wanda Dorris as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Terry Marcum and Peggy Smith.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008 with Pastor Lisa Abb officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at Belvidere Cemetery.
