Obituary

Brian Scott Zimmer, 66, of Roscoe, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026. Brian was born on September 9, 1960, in Belvidere, Illinois, to Doris J. (Watkins) and Howard E. Zimmer.

Brian was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend who had a way of making everyone around him feel at ease. Known for his easygoing nature, calming presence, and wonderful sense of humor, Brian had a heart of gold and a love for the people closest to him. His daughters were his greatest pride and joy, and he was their biggest cheerleader in everything they did. He was, without a doubt, a true girl dad.

Brian enjoyed many things in life, especially motocross, spending time working in the garage, and cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, the Bears, White Sox, and Blackhawks. He also had a special love for softball, playing on several teams throughout the years and spending countless hours on the fields at Forest Hills. Those summers on the softball fields created memories he treasured. When he wasn't playing ball or tinkering in the garage, Brian could often be found enjoying a summer shandy on the deck, and a slice of lemon meringue pie. It was the simple pleasures in life, shared with family and friends, that made him happiest. Brian was also a devoted member of Rockton United Methodist Church, where he was actively involved in the men's group and had the privilege of serving as a trustee. His church family and fellowship were another meaningful part of his life.

Brian will be remembered for his gentle spirit, infectious humor, unwavering support, and the comfort he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever cherish the love, laughter, and moments they shared with him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Zimmer; his daughters, Jenessa (Zachery) Fiduccia, Cassandra (Brennen) Steines, Tiffany (Ken) Springer; his grandchildren, Kyber and Quinlan; his sister, Pam (Dan) Hulvey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Howard Zimmer.

A visitation for Brian will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services; located at, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, Illinois 61008. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Garden of Memories.
