Brent S. Baxter, 56, of Cherry Valley, IL passed on March 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Brent was born April 20, 1958 in Belvidere, IL, son of Donald and Sandra (Popham) Baxter. He graduated from Guilford High School, Class of 1976. Brent married Patti Hancock on August 27, 1977 in Rockford, IL. He was employed by FPM Ipsen as a metalologist. Brent enjoyed tinkering in the garage, going to Lake Petenwell, and looking out onto the Kishwaukee River. He adored watching Stephen race dirt bikes and cherished spending time with his grandson, Carson.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Patti; son, Stephen (Paige Humphrey) Baxter; grandson, Carson Baxter; his beloved dog, Loki; mother, Sandra Baxter; sister, Dianna (Dennis) Lester; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Donald, and brothers, Bryian and Bradley.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Cherry Valley United Methodist Church. Memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M.
