Brenda You, age 38 passed away November 13, 2005 in Los Angeles, CA where she had made her home the last several years. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica; former husband, Hunter You; parents, Stan Herrmann of Belvidere, IL and Diane Waser of Fairfield Bay, AR; brothers Glenn (Karin) Herrmann, Poplar Grove, IL and Clay (Tina) Herrmann, Belvidere, IL; their families and many close friends.Brenda graduated from Belvidere High School, Rock Valley College and Columbia University. She was editorial assistant at the Chicago Tribune, went on to be a producer for the Jerry Springer Show before moving to L.A. to take a position as West Coast Bureau Chief of STAR Magazine. She free-lanced for many magazines and enjoyed doing interviews with many famous movie and rock stars. She won numerous awards for her writings and had just finished her first novel and was awaiting its publication. Brenda was preceded in death by her favorite uncle, Dr. Dan Langan; grandparents William Langan and Harold & Cora Herrmann.
