Boyd G. Hermansen, 87, of Batesville, Arkansas formerly of Loves Park, Illinois, died Friday, November 04, 2011 in White River Medical Center, in Batesville. He was born on December 17, 1923 in Belvidere, Illinois; the son of Luther and Lila (Hale) Hermansen. Boyd was married to Gunborg Holmgren in Poplar Grove, Illinois on November 24, 1945. Boyd was a Barber for over twenty years and was also in sales. He was a former member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Sound Investors Barbershop Quartet and Rockford – Forest City Barbershop Chorus. He is survived by his wife, Gunborg; a daughter, Kay (Joe) Hermansen-Pool, both of Batesville, Arkansas; son, Brian (Chris) Hermansen, of Rockford; a grandson, Jeff (Melinda) Hermansen; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lynn Hermansen.
