Obituary

Bonnie Jean Fulton, 76, of Capron, IL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on September 23, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1947 in Red Wing, Minnesota. The daughter of Raymond "Chuck" and Joyce Erickson. Bonnie was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated from Rock Valley College and worked with children for all of her life. She was passionate about early childhood education and dedicated years of her life to daycare, nutrition programs, and advocating for the betterment of the lives of children. She orchestrated the remodel of Little Lambs Daycare in The Capron Lutheran Church, and home daycare food program monitor for the ICCB food program bureau. On November 2, 1963 she married the love of her life, Bob Fulton, and together they shared 2 children and over 60 years of togetherness that is admired and celebrated. She enjoyed bowling, gardening flowers, and was an avid reader. Above all, she loved the quality time spent with family. Bonnie was a talented cook and she would host Sunday family dinners. She would invite the grandchildren for slumber parties, and often left notes and letters for those she loved. Bonnie will be remembered for her strong faith, and dedication to her family. She will be missed by many.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bob Fulton; their children, Brian (Tammy) Fulton and Brenda (Dan Robin) Pearson; grandchildren, Brittany (Josh Sabuda) Fulton-Robin, Dylan (Maggie) Pearson, Emily (Matthew Leek) Pearson, and Tesa Most; great-grandchildren, Kirstin Tracey, Austin Robin, Landon Robin, Brendan Fulton, Brayden Robin, Ethan Peck, Alyssa Frisella, and Mia Peck; her siblings, Lollie Tomlinson, Jackie Krie, and Greg Erickson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly. She is welcomed into heaven by her parents, Chuck and Joyce; and her grandchildren, Bradley Robert Fulton, and Brian Robert Fulton; sister, Barbara Erickson; and in-laws, Arthur and Stella Fulton.

Bonnie's visitation will be Thursday September 28th between the hours of 6-8pm at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. A second visitation will be Friday, September 29th at 10:30am at Capron Lutheran Church, located at 155 2nd St., Capron, IL 61012. Funeral Service to follow at 11am.
