Bill Morrow, 91, of Rockford, IL, died peacefully, December 16, 2022, in Rockford. He was born June 12, 1931, in Plumerville, Arkansas, son to Ira E. and Lula Mae (Eades) Morrow. He graduated from high school and briefly attended the University of Arkansas prior to enlisting in the United States Navy serving overseas in Naval aviation during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. Bill married Jean Radtke Fredericksen, July 22, 1978, in Stevens Point, WI and celebrated their 44 th anniversary together this year. Bill's life- long faith in his Savior Jesus Christ began at the feet of his grandfather's, in Arkansas. Bill was a member of North Park Church of Christ and volunteered for several causes most notably for the North Park Food Bank and the Winnebago County Casa as a court appointed advocate for children experiencing abuse and neglect. He worked in the Wisconsin Dairy Industry as a field representative for Foremost and was employed by Modern Metals of Rockford for many years and then held various sales and service positions after retirement.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Jean; children, Steven (Amy) Morrow; Branham Morrow, Susan (Dennis) Kelley, Sandy (Robert) Schilling, Robert (Rebecca) Morrow; stepchildren, Brian Fredericksen, Sharon Fredericksen and Alan Fredericksen; 19 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Morrow; and sister, Reba Leonard.
A memorial visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. A memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. Military honors will be given after the service out in the Anderson Gazebo. A burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega, WI.
