Belvidere, IllinoisBeverly Swanson, 82, of Belvidere, IL died Sunday evening, August 9, 2009 in the Bickford House, Rockford, IL after a lengthy illness. Beverly was born August 1, 1927 in Belvidere, the daughter of Allen and Elsie (Sellers) Haley. She married Phillip W. Swanson on August 18, 1957 in Rockford. Bev was a very talented artist. She enjoyed playing the organ, drawing, painting and teaching ceramics. For 25 years she owned Bev's Ceramics and Hobby Shop. She loved animals of all kinds and liked to ride horses when she was younger, and was a former member of the Boone County Saddle Club.Beverly is loved and will be missed by her son, Jeff (Colleen) Swanson; grandchildren, Zachery and Benjamin Swanson; sister, Barbara (Robert) Willis all of Belvidere, and her nieces.Beverly is predeceased by her parents and husband, Phillip.Beverly's family would like to give a special acknowledgement to the staff at both the Bickford House and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful tender care given to Beverly.

A memorial will be established in her memory in care of her family.
