Beverly J. Nelson of Poplar Grove went to be with Jesus May 16, 2008, born Nov. 6, 1929 to James and Bessie (Stanton) Adams in Chicago, Illinois. Beverly was a wonderful mom, wife and homemaker. She married her husband, Norman Nelson of C. Olson N. Nelson Decorating Co. on September 23, 1950. She was involved in the PTA and served as president of the T. J. Waters PTA. She was a long time Sunday School teacher and a certified Bethel Bible teacher. She was a 28 year member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary serving in many capacities including chaplain of the Boone Camp. She graded books and was a commentator for the Emmaus Correspondence School division of the Boone County Jail Ministry. She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church of Poplar Grove, Illinois.Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter Carol (Frank) Hauser. Survived by her loving husband Norman and her children, Norma (Richard) Johnson, Christopher (Carla) Nelson, Penny (Carl) Fransman; grandchildren, Bob (Shayla) Hauser, Jon (Marcia) Hauser, Elisabeth Johnson, Helen (Andrew) Niemeier, James Johnson, Kristin Johnson, Sarah Nelson, Erik Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Madeline, Sam, Kemedy and Evelyn.
