Beverly J. Huffman, 88, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 in her home. Born October 6, 1927, in Rock Island, IL, daughter of Harry and Augusta (Schultz) Behn. She married the love of her life, William Huffman, Jr., on October 18, 1945 at First Presbyterian Church in Rock Island, IL, where she was also baptized. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Deerfield, IL, and also Crystal Lake Methodist Church. Beverly was a homemaker and a Guardian Ad Litem. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, being a Girl Scout leader, a member of the PTA and a decorator. Beverly was an avid card player. Her grandchildren will remember her as a faith filled person, and her whole family will remember her famous chocolate chip cookies. Beverly had a PHT, "Putting Hubby through College." She fought for what was right her whole life.

Beverly is loved and missed by her daughter, Nancy Alexander and her husband, Rick of Lake in the Hills, IL; grandchildren, William Alexander of Naperville, IL and Mike Huffman of Chesterfield, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William and her son, William Marc Huffman.
