Betty Ann Harris-Trowbridge, 70, of Rockford died Monday, September 22, 2008 in her home following a short illness. She was born December 28, 1937 in Crown Hill, West Virginia, the daughter of Clifford and Aleatha (Hundell) Bland. She has lived in Rockford the past 4 years, coming here from Wisconsin. She married John H. Harris, Jr. he preceded her in death in 1973. She later married Dale Trowbridge and he preceded her in death. She was an office worker for Champion Packaging for many years before retiring. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxilary. She is survived by three children, Lisa (Carlos Contreas) Harris, Rockford; John Kevin Harris, Seabrook, NH, Shara Lynn (David) Durham, Belvidere; four grandchildren, David II, Eric, Cody Durham and Bethany Harris; a sister, Sally (Dennis) Farley; a brother, Donald "Jake" (Barb) Bland; two nephews, Denny Ray Farley and Donny (Dana) Bland; and special friends, Sue and Mike Barton. In addition to her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Tootsie.
