Betty J. Buse,81, died December 7, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Betty was born November 21, 1926 in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Jesse and Lola (Jacobs) Kahler. Betty graduated from Belvidere high School in 1945. She married Addison "Bud" Buse at the First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere on May 13, 1950. They farmed in Boone County most of their lives. Betty was also an LPN at Highland and St. Joseph's hospitals in Belvidere for many years. She truly enjoyed spending her time pleasing everyone around her. She cherished every moment she spent with her family, as did we. Her smiles and laughter never seemed to end. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Bud, and sister, Ruth Kahler. Survivors include her son, Richard of Rockford, grandchildren, Jayson and Christy Buse of Belvidere, Jeremy Buse of Rockford, and great grandchildren Branden, Lindsey, Kaleb, and Tyler Bud, and special friend and sister-in-law Mary Bye.The family would like to thank her friends and the staff at The Loyalton, Dr. Shock, and especially the staff in the GI Lab and 3 East at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for their wonderful care and support.
